Music Together is an internationally acclaimed early childhood education program designed for children from newborns to 5 years old. It develops your child's basic rhythmic and tonal competence, all while having a great time and fostering the bond between the parent/caregiver and child. Come have fun with us!

Music Together's songs, rhythms, chants, dances, and instrument jams expose your child to a wide variety of musical styles, rhythms, subject matter, and languages.
The subject matter of the songs range from the beauty of nature, plants, and animals, family life and silly songs, to the experience of city life with trains, taxis, and museum going. The range of minor, major, aeolian, and dorian melodies, as well as the varying rhythms of Music Together songs help make for some sophisticated listening that will interest both you and your child! Music Together songs are primarily in English, but each semester's new cd is bound to have a few Spanish songs, and oftentimes a song in an African language, French, or Yiddish.
ABOUT OUR CLASSES:
We offer weekly 45-minute classes (10 week semesters). Together we explore music through songs, rhythmic rhymes, movement and instrument "play-along". The latest Music Together CD(two copies) and songbook are included!
MIXED-AGE CLASSES (0 to 5 years):
Educators have long considered mixed-age groupings to foster beneficial learning skills. Our activities focus on adult/child interaction, where the adult is the musical role model for their child. This class is the basis for all Music Together classes, so if you have an infant or a 3-5 year old, don't hesitate to take this class if the ones below aren't offered at a time that is good for you. All of our teachers have had specialized training in working with each age group; infants, toddlers, and 3-5 year-olds.
BABIES ONLY CLASS (0-8 months):
They may be pre-verbal and pre-mobile, but they’re not pre-musical! A specially designed one-semester introduction to music for our youngest music-makers. Musical activities such as finger play, lap songs, and songs without words are emphasized though we learn songs with words too. A great way to have fun with your new baby, learn how they learn, and meet other new parents. Class tuition includes 2 CDs, a songbook, and 2 free make ups. Babies are also welcome in our mixed-age classes.
3's and Up class (3-5yrs):
The next step for experienced Music Together families. A slightly more structured class, emphasizing more active and individual participation by the children, dramatic and imaginative play, and large movement activities. Younger siblings are welcome.
Please note: It is NOT necessary to enroll in the 3-5 class even if your child is 3 -5 years old. Most 3 -5 year olds thrive in our mixed-age classes where they enjoy a leadership role, and have more opportunities for special interactions with the teacher.
To register for the winter semester, please go to our "Register" page and fill out an online registration form after Dec. 1. You can pay by check or credit card to secure your space in your preferred class day and time.
