Jessie, a proud mom, has been teaching with us for the last 6 years! She is a professionally trained Music Together® teacher, with a theater and dance background. Her creativity and adventurous spirit will keep you and your child engaged and on your toes all semester long!
In addition to teaching, she is a singer/songwriter and has been performing in NYC for the last ten years. You can check out her band Tres Leches: www.tresleches.us

Jeanine is a bubbly, fun and seasoned Music Together teacher. She brings laughter, joy, and creativity to her classes. Jeanine LaBarbera is a singer, songwriter & actor who has performed in musical theatre on such stages as Lincoln Center & appeared on Star Search at age 17. She studied at Berklee College of Music, plays guitar & has been teaching Music Together for over 10yrs. Jeanine launched her solo career as an independent artist in 2007 at Crash Mansion, NYC & released her solo debut CD, “Jeanine Truly” in December, 2009. She currently performs with some of NY’s most bright, up & coming talent and is part of the funk & soul renaissance now re-drawing the map of NY City’s music. jeaninetruly.com

Joanna is very excited to be joining the music together family. Coming from many years of working with children, as well as a background in theater, design, and music she is grateful to have found such a wonderful outlet for her passions. An active singer and songwriter, Joanna is ecstatic to be a provider of such an important service, understanding first hand what a gift music stands to be in the lives of both children and their parents and caregivers.

Arlee is a certified Music Together teacher who loves to share her joyful spirit with children and their grown-ups! Arlee Leonard is a professional singer, songwriter, and recording artist who has performed worldwide. She's been on stage since age 6, beginning with her musician parents, and has studied dance and theater as well as music.

Dan Vonnegut began playing drums and guitar when he was nine years old. For the past ten years, he has been a professional, freelance drummer and multi-instrumental music teacher in New York City and more recently a Music Together instructor. As the father of two young children, Dan understands how to engage even the littlest musicians in rhythm, singing, and movement to develop a life-long love of music.

Anne has been teaching Music Together for over two years now and is grateful to have found a job which is the perfect match for her talents and interests. She strongly believes that musical activity is an essential part of life for everybody, not just a select few, and is delighted to have found a career path that actually requires silliness rather than discouraging it.

Anne is a professional singer and actress, a multi-instrumentalist and an avid dancer. Singing everything from opera to honky tonk, she has performed throughout the Northeast. She holds a BA in music from Wesleyan University and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Hunter College. She is also a member of Cherub Improv, a comedy improvisation group that gives workshops and performances in social services settings.

Michelle Zilles

Michelle has been teaching for 10 years, and is a highly creative, super fun teacher! We are thrilled to have her working for us as she is a person we look to for inspiration and creative ways to keep things fun and exciting all semester long. If you enroll into one of her Wednesday classes at Stillhip, you will be in for a real treat!

Adam Fine (sub)

Current substitute teacher Adam is a blast! He is silly, fun, creative, and has excellent rhythm making his classes dynamic and exciting for the children! Adam was inspired to become a teacher after attending Rene's Music Together classes for years with his own children.

Melissa is an accomplished jazz vocalist, recording artist, and educator, originally from Toronto, Canada. Here in NYC, she has performed at venues such as Birdland, Jazz Standard and Carnegie Hall.
She can also be seen on Canadian television on the hit kids' TV show
"Foursquare". Her love of music, children, dance, and improvisation
find the perfect home in her work as a Music Together teacher and she
thrilled to be a new member of the Fort Greene Music Together family. With her gorgeous voice, and playful, upbeat attitude, she'll fit right in with the rest of our Music Together staff! You can hear Melissa's music at www.melissastylianou.com
