Rene Collins
Rene has been teaching Music Together® for over seven years, and has his background in educational theatre, circus performing, and Shakespeare. With his energetic teaching and positive attitude, Rene is a great role model for children and adults alike to enjoy music and have as much fun as possible! Chava Collins
Chava is a seven years plus Music Together teacher, and is currently enjoying her 3 year old and studying Jazz at City College! She loves teaching both the mixed age classes and the Babies Only class. With the babies class, she enjoys sharing with parents in depth about the amazing benefits music has in the development of a child, and she loves to be around other new parents and their infants, celebrating in the blessing of life! This time (0-8 months of a baby's life) is so precious and passes quickly. This class is a wonderful way to create lasting bonds with your baby through song, movement, and touch. Jessie White
Jessie, a proud new mom, is back teaching with us by popular demand! She is a professionallly trained Music Together teacher, with a theater and dance backround. Her creativity and adventurous spirit will keep you interested and on your toes all semester long! Anne Jacobs
Anne has been teaching Music Together for over two years now and is grateful to have found a job which is the perfect match for her talents and interests. She strongly believes that musical activity is an essential part of life for everybody, not just a select few, and is delighted to have found a career path that actually requires silliness rather than discouraging it.
Anne is a professional singer and actress, a multi-instrumentalist and an avid dancer. Singing everything from opera to honky tonk, she has performed throughout the Northeast. She holds a BA in music from Wesleyan University and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Hunter College. She is also a member of Cherub Improv, a comedy improvisation group that gives workshops and performances in social services settings. |

Arlee Leonard
Arlee is a certified Music Together teacher who has been teaching for over two years now and loves to share her joyful spirit with children and their grown-ups! Arlee Leonard is a professional singer, songwriter, and recording artist who has performed worldwide. She's been on stage since age 6, beginning with her musician parents, and has studied dance and theater as well as music. |

Melissa Stylianou (sub)
Melissa is an accomplished jazz vocalist, recording artist, and educator, originally from Toronto, Canada. Here in NYC, she has performed at venues such as Birdland, Jazz Standard and Carnegie Hall. She can also be seen on Canadian television on the hit kids' TV show "Foursquare". Her love of music, children, dance, and improvisation find the perfect home in her work as a Music Together teacher and she thrilled to be a new member of the Fort Greene Music Together family. Meryl Zimmerman (sub)
Meryl has a loyal following of families and it has been a real pleasure to have her in our center! We will miss her but are supportive of her returning to college. We hope to have her back occasionally as a substitute teacher when needed. Good luck Meryl! |
Adam Fine
Current substitute teacher Adam is a blast! He is silly, fun, creative, and has excellent rhythm making his classes dynamic and exciting for the children! Adam was inspired to become a teacher after attending Rene's Music Together classes for years with his own children.
